What is DeliTapas?

Delitapas has been established to promote typical and traditional products of the Maestrazgo region (Castellón-Teruel), with the idea that this economic activity has a positive impact on this region, helping to curb the depopulation that suffer the communities in the mountainous region of Castellón and Teruel, and give back to this wonderful spot of Spain the value it deserves.

My idea gradually took shape and I began to select the most representative family businesses and cooperatives of the region, taking into account the quality, the elaboration process and a good presentation, with the aim of promoting Maestrazgo and its products throughout Europe.

The Maestrazgo or El Maestrat, as it is called in the local language, is a historical region of Spain stretching from the north of the Valencian province of Castellón to the southeast of the Aragonese province of Teruel. The hot summers and cold winters create a special climate, which makes it the cradle of delicacies such as truffles and olive oil from thousand-year-old olive trees of the Farga variety, both of which combine perfectly with each other and are the most famous and popular gastronomic representatives. www.delitapas.com is an e-commerce website (hereinafter "the Online Shop") owned by Monika Schumacher. with address at Plaça Nova, 5, 12360 Xert (Castelló) Spain. The Client is the individual or legal entity that contracts the products or services marketed from the Online Store.

THE ONLINE SHOP

www.delitapas.com is dedicated to the sale of fresh truffle, hams, pallets, sliced ham, sausages, pates, foie, cheeses, spices, wines, spirits, honey, jams, almonds, nougat and sweets, oils of olive and vinegars, as well as rent of tourist town house and the organization of routes by the Maestrazgo.

 

APPLICABLE TAXES AND CURRENCY

The prices of the products displayed on the website www.delitapas.com include the Value Added Tax (VAT) which in this case is applicable. Purchases that are to be delivered within the territory of any of the member states of the European Union will be subject to VAT. Purchases to be delivered in territories of non-member states of the European Union, the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla will be exempt from VAT.

For companies in the European Union, which are registered in the intra-community registry and place orders to Delitapas.com, the VAT amount will be discounted by submitting said VAT number. They should send an email with their tax information and their corresponding order. We will send you a proforma invoice with an account number, after making the payment, your order will be sent. Individual customers who buy from the European Union, will be charged the I.V.A.

WAY TO PAY

When making the order, the customer can freely choose to pay the purchases made by credit card (indicate the cards accepted by the electronic commerce American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Visa Electron, etc.); refund or transfer. In certain cases and to prevent possible fraud www.delitapas.com reserves the possibility of requesting a specific form of payment in the event that the identity of the buyer is not credibly proven.

Credit card: To make payment by card (Visa, Master Card, American Express) the system will ask for the card number, the card holder, the expiration date and the CVV security code that can be found on the card’s reverse and consists of three digits.

Transfer: If you select this method of payment, after sending me your order, you will receive an email with the account number where you must enter the exact amount (order + shipping costs) and send me the receipt by email. Remember that if you do not receive this email, you should check your "junk" or "trash" tray. If you still do not receive it, please contact me at 964 490304 or delitapas@delitapas.com I remember that in the entry you must specify your name and surname and the order number.

Delitapas.com sells to all countries of the European Union, being in charge to include all the legal documentation necessary for the delivery of your order to the indicated address. In case you are outside the European Union and wish to make a purchase, just contact and I may advise you without obligation. Delitapas.com wants its customers to be informed that the expenses of tariffs, customs or derivatives of each country, zone, etc. will be on behalf of the customer and will be paid in destination. In case the customer does not make the corresponding payments or the taxes of his country and consequently the order is returned, the amount of the order will be returned after deducting the expenses that has been originated.

NO SHIPPING TO MAIL BOXES

If you are in a country outside of U.E. send us an email with your order and you will be informed if your country has restrictions on such merchandise, if the delivery is possible, a proforma invoice will be sent and after receiving the payment, it will take the same treatment as the rest of orders.

You are reminded that your country's tariffs and taxes will go to your account.

Order Delivery Time

www.delitapas.com sends the orders to its clients through different companies of urgent transport of recognized national and international prestige. The date of delivery at the Customer's address depends on the availability of the chosen product and the shipping area. The transport deadlines are indicative.

VERY IMPORTANT: Make sure that in the provided delivery address, the package can be delivered in the morning, until 15:00 hours. We will not be responsible for the fact that the courier agency was at the address and could not deliver the goods.

Once we have received your order and proof of payment, Delitapas.com will prepare for you all the selected products. The estimated time to make your order will be a maximum of 72 hrs, so that it is ready to be sent.

All shipments of fresh truffle are made to order. As a fresh and highly perishable product, fresh truffle orders DO NOT ALLOW RETURNS. Once your truffle is ready for shipping, the delivery time for the peninsula or center of Europe is usually 24 hours.

Important information for buying fresh truffle:

Orders will be shipped daily, from Monday to Thursday inclusive, during the fresh truffle season (December to March), upon receipt of the copy of the payment receipt. No fresh truffle will be sent, with proof of payment being received later than 12:00 o´clock on Wednesday, thus avoiding undeliverable shipments before the weekend.

Very important: Make sure that in the provided delivery address the package can be delivered in the morning, until 15:00 hours. We will not be responsible for the fact that the courier agency was at the address and could not deliver the goods.

EXCESS of fresh truffle

Once received the truffle should be kept in the refrigerator between 4 and 5 ºC, since a truffle preserved in optimal conditions can be used between 10 and 12 days after its collection. If it is not expected to be used during this period, I advise to freeze hermetically.

All other products are made on request, as I do not work with stocks of these products to always guarantee the highest quality and freshness.

Once picked by the transport agency, the delivery time for the peninsular shipments from the exit of our warehouse to the place of destination, ranges between 24h and 48h. This is subject to the transport company and the destination of the merchandise. The transport company that we use is SEUR/DPD and UPS and the service we hire is urgent shipping for truffles, and standard shipping for the rest of the products. Delivering before 14 o’clock the shipment usually is of 24 h, reason why the majority of orders are received in 24 h after the exit of the warehouse.

It should be considered that this is alien to delitapas.com and is subject to external factors such as climatology, festivities, Christmas, etc. I promise to also resolve any impact on the delivery of shipments as soon as possible. Passed more than 3 days the delivery time and you did not receive the goods, please contact us.

Delitapas.com handles the orders personally and on a strict order of arrival.

Order Delivery Process
The package will be delivered to the address you have specified. You are reminded that we do not ship to PO Boxes.
Once the carrier arrives, you will have to sign the delivery note and the he will give you your order. It should be noted that it is very important to provide, with your order, a telephone number where it is locatable to make delivery easier. 

Absence at the time of delivery
If for some reason you are not at the selected address, the transport company will leave you a notice to contact them and request a new delivery. If it is not possible to do it a second time, you should contact the agency and pick it up at the office that you are told. If after ten days you do not contact the agency, the package will be returned to the origin, causing an extra cost of transportation that will have to be taken care of you when requesting a new delivery.
You are reminded that, as a general rule, parcel delivery is done during business hours. 

Payment to the carrier
Only if you have chosen the "Redemption" mode, you must pay the carrier the total amount of your order plus shipping costs. For any other payment method, all expenses are already included. We would like to point out that with payment by card, transfer and paypal you will enjoy a better price by not having a cash back charge applied by the transport agency (3% on the billing amount with a minimum commission of € 3, applied by the travel agency transport).

 

CUSTOMER RIGHTS AND RETURN POLICY

www.delitapas.com does not guarantee to its customers the availability or deadline of delivery of the products offered from the website, except for the products in which a specific guarantee or availability is expressly mentioned. 

www.delitapas.com guarantees its customers the possibility of cancelling their order at any time and at no cost on the condition that the cancellation is communicated before the order has been made available to the carrier for shipment

The customer may return any item purchased in the Online Shop www.delitapas.com, except for the fresh truffle, which because of its perishable nature does not admit returns, and understanding that the products have not been opened or used and retain their original seal or packaging. In these cases, www.delitapas.com will return the money of the purchase through a credit, by bank transfer to the account indicated by the client.

If a different product requested by the client was mistakenly delivered by www.delitapas.com it will be removed and will be given the right product at no additional charge to the customer. For any incident related to the return of articles from our store you can contact the Customer Service department via email: info @ delitapas.com or by phone 964 490304.

You can make returns for the following reasons:

Hygiene and sanitary problems: If the product is not in good condition, Delitapas.com will be responsible for transportation costs. You should contact us with your order number, name and surname, what you want to return, the causes and what you want us to do, return the money or replace the product (see steps below). 

If the packaging is damaged or there are breaks: In this case, the damage has been produced at the transport agency (it is imperative that you check the merchandise with the deliveryman, and indicate on the delivery note what happened). You have 24 hours to contact us or the transport agency and process the incident. In addition, you must indicate on the delivery note that the goods have arrived damaged. In this case, you will not have extra transport costs. 

Return Conditions

  • Returns will be accepted within a maximum of 10 calendar days from the delivery of the merchandise except for the fresh truffle which, because it is highly perishable, does not admit a refund.
  •  The merchandise must be returned in its original packaging and ensure that the labels have not been torn off and the item has not been opened, used or handled. The return must meet these conditions to be accepted.
  • Returns are not allowed on hams and pallets when more than 15% of the total product has been consumed, so if you are not satisfied when start cutting the piece do not continue, as it will not meet the conditions to be accepted for its return. For example: A ham of 8 kg. a return weight of less than 6,800 kg shall not be allowed. (see section "Fat in the ham").

How to return my order

  • Ask us for your return by e-mail to delitapas@delitapas.com within 10 calendar days (except for the fresh truffle which, because it is highly perishable, does not admit a refund) from the date it received the order by the courier . Please let us know in the e-mail the order number and the reason for the return of the item. You must tell us if you want to return the money or the replacement of another item, in which case you will be responsible for transportation costs.
  •          Once you have received your return request, we will contact you to indicate the steps to follow.
  •          Subsequently and within a maximum period of 5 working days, from your request, the transport company will pick up the item at the time indicated. The transport costs will be paid by the customer. If you prefer you can send it with another logistics company, freight prepaid. Then prepare the package to be collected in its original packaging and make sure that the labels have not been ripped and the item has not been used or tampered with. The return must meet these conditions to be accepted.
  •          Once the item is received in our warehouse and thoroughly inspected, we will send you an e-mail informing you of the acceptance of the return.

From this date, we have 15 working days to reimburse you for the purchase price, except shipping costs, both shipping and return. The refund will be made through the means of payment used in the purchase, except in the case of having paid against refund, in this case the refund will be made via bank transfer. The expenses incurred by the cash rebate will not be paid.
If the item does not comply with the aforementioned conditions of return, once the item has been examined, the customer will be responsible for the cost of transport originated when returning the product to his address, if after 7 working days we do not pay for the transport. In this case, the cost of the part consumed and the costs generated from transportation will be estimated and the remaining amount will be refunded. Example: a ham of 7kg (yield 3,5kg of meat) with a value of 400 €, we are returned 5kg. By not complying with the conditions of return, we estimate the value returned, we deboned it and we see that it weighs 2.2kg of meat with a value of € 250 less transport costs € 7.60 each way and return it, would return it € 234.80. 



Fat in the ham?

Pallet: The pallet has a 40% performance, compared to a 60% waste between bone, bark and grease. 

Ham: Ham has 50% yield and 50% wastage between bone, bark and fat. Hams and Iberian and acorn palettes, contain a higher percentage of fat the purer the breed. Delitapas.com also selects fatty hams, for a sweet and pleasant taste, with an ideal cure between 18 to 24 months, for Delitapas.com and D.O. Teruel. 

Personal appreciations about hams, excess or fat defect, excess or defect of taste or cure, are not considered a defect of the product, but a characteristic. However, if you are not satisfied, we will proceed to your return as long as the return conditions are met. In this case, being a personal opinion, the customer will be responsible for the round trip transportation.

CUSTOMER OBLIGATIONS

The customer of www.delitapas.com assumes at all times to provide truthful information on the data requested in the user registration forms or order fulfillment, and to keep them updated at all times.

The client accepts the present general conditions included in this contract. 

Online Shop, will provide the customer with an identifier and a password (as the case may be, chosen by the Client). The client assumes to keep their personal access keys confidentially and with the utmost diligence.

SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY

www.delitapas.com guarantees security and confidentiality in all your transactions. All operations are performed through a secure server, based on the SSL standard that protects the data.

All personal data provided by the Customer to www.delitapas.com will be included in a personal data file created and maintained under the responsibility of www.delitapas.com. In compliance with the provisions of Organic Law 15/1999 of December 13, Protection of Personal Data, the Customer may at any time exercise the rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition to his personal data by communicating it in writing to www.delitapas.com,

AVAILABILITY

Online Shop does not guarantee the continuous and permanent availability of online store service. It is hereby exempted from any liability for any damages and losses caused as a result of the unavailability of the online store. In these cases, Online Shop will make its best efforts to give 24 hours notice to the interruption. Online Shop shall not be liable for the interruption, suspension or termination of the online store service.
