THE CLEMENTINE/ CLEMENULES:

The Clemenules is the queen of mandarins! This variety of mandarin comes from Nules (Castellón) near me and is the result of a spontaneous mutation of the Clementina Fina and the Algerian bitter orange. Hence its slightly bitter-sour and at the same time sweet taste. It is also known as Nulera, Nulesina, Clementina de Nules, Clementina Victoria and Clementina Reina. It is medium sized, of good size, excellent quality and sweet taste. It has no seeds, although it could have some if cross-pollinated. It has an intense orange colour and a good juice content with a reasonable amount of sugar and total acids. The estimated harvest time is from 1 November to 15 January, with ours usually harvested just before Christmas.

And why do I say that our Clemenules are "happy"?

Because I leave the harvest timing in the good hands of Paco Parra and we don't harvest them green. Our citrus fruits are allowed to ripen on the tree and are shipped at the optimal time of ripeness, which is why they taste so much better! It's like eating a whole handful of sunshine, which is rich in vitamins. I will tell you more about this below:

Tangerines are rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin B1 and B2, bioflavonoids (like nobiletin), folate (similar to folic acid) and mineral salts like potassium, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium. The whole fruit can be used, as the peel and leaves are also very rich in nutrients (peel can also be used dried as an infusion, or to refine baked goods.

Try our clementines! Harvest time is from November to mid-December! You can order them at www.delitapas.com and they are certified organic.

Soon we will start with very tasty Navel oranges....seal eagerly for news by mail/ Instagram/ Facebook

By the way, this is Paco: he makes sure that the clementines you like so much are of the highest quality and at the right ripeness all year round.

The other one is me, I also make sure that the tangerines reach you in the best possible condition, so I like to test them before I send them out!
